Ligue 1: 13ème journée, compte-rendu

Le Paris SG, en s'inclinant dimanche à Auxerre 2-0, a abandonné sa place de deuxième à Bordeaux et a laissé le leader Lyon, vainqueur samedi de Sochaux (1-0), s'envoler avec neuf points d'avance sur les Girondins à l'issue de la 13e journée de la Ligue 1 de football. La logique a été respectée puisque, à l'exception du PSG, les huit premiers de L1 ont gagné et les six derniers ont perdu.

Paris a décroché. Insipides au possible dimanche face à des Auxerrois pourtant bien maladroits, les hommes de Laurent Fournier, qui confirment que, loin de leurs bases, ils perdent toute envie, ne sont plus sur le podium. Le PSG est 4e derrière Saint-Etienne qui occupe la troisième place grâce à sa meilleure différence de buts (+7 contre +4 aux Parisiens), à un point de Bordeaux, facile tombeur de Troyes samedi (2-0). Du coup, Lyon, qui signe sa 5e victoire de rang en L1, prend ses aises. "C'est une grosse satisfaction d'avoir gagné ce match. J'ai bien aimé le rythme et l'intensité avec laquelle l'équipe a joué. J'ai aussi apprécié la manière dont le groupe a défendu en fin de partie", s'est félicité Gérard Houllier, l'entraîneur de l'omnipotent leader lyonnais après la victoire de ses hommes à domicile contre le petit Poucet Sochaux grâce à un petit but de Malouda.

Saint-Etienne, vainqueur à Strasbourg grâce à un but de Gomis à la 72e, a bien digéré sa défaite en Coupe de la Ligue à domicile contre Lille mais refuse encore de parler de Coupe d'Europe ou de Ligue des champions. "On a vécu une bonne semaine au niveau du Championnat puisqu'on a pris six points en deux matches. Notre objectif est de prendre les points du maintien le plus rapidement possible. Ce n'est que notre deuxième saison en L1 et on voit que c'est très serré: entre le quatrième et le quinzième ou seizième il n'y a pas beaucoup de points d'écart (8 seulement)", note l'entraîneur des Verts Elie Baup.

Auxerre revient dans le groupe de tête, gagnant cinq places pour être cinquième, à un point du duo Saint-Etienne-Paris SG. Monaco (7e) a réussi le score de la soirée (3-0) aux dépens d'Ajaccio (17e), avec notamment une belle reprise de volée de Plasil (76). Grâce aux étincelles de la paire Utaka (17)-Frei (57), tous deux buteurs et passeurs, Rennes (8e) s'est imposé 2 à 1 contre Metz, plus que jamais lanterne rouge et désormais pire défense de la L1. Au Stade Vélodrome, le choc de la journée entre Marseille et Lille s'est soldé par un nul (1-1) au terme d'un match qui aura vu chaque équipe dominer une période.

Nantes a battu Le Mans (1-0) sur un penalty obtenu et transformé par le Roumain Keseru (19). Enfin, Nancy (12e) et Nice (13e) se sont quittés sur un nul vierge.
